Paramore: ‘Monster’ from ‘Transformers 3′ Soundtrack [Audio, Lyrics and Download]

After a week of teasing, Paramore released the full version of their new single “Monster” off the “Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon” soundtrack on their site Friday.

The now three person group toned down their style, teetering on the ballad cusp with a dramatic feel in “Monster.” The lyrics, aside from its undertones work perfect with the plot of the “Transformers 3″ film ”I’ll stop the whole world from turning into a monster” hits on the epic chorus with emotion seeping through every word front-woman Hayley Williams belts.

Get “Monster” on iTunes June 7 and can be found on the “Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon” soundtrack out June 14. Music video will be out later

Lyrics

You were my conscience, so silent now you’re like water
And we started drowning, not like we’d sink any farther.
But I let my heart go, it’s somewhere down the bottom.
But I’ll get a new one, come back from the hope that you’ve stolen.

I’ll stop the whole world, I’ll stop the whole world
From turning into a monster, and eating us alive
Don’t you ever wonder how we survive?
Well now that your gone, the world is ours.

I’m only human, I’ve got a skeleton in me
but I’m not the villain, despite what you’re always preaching.
Call me a traitor, I’m just collecting your victims
And they’re getting stronger
I hear them calling.

I’ll stop the whole world, I’ll stop the whole world
From turning into a monster, and eating us alive
Don’t you ever wonder how we survive?
Well now that your gone, the world is ours.

Well you thought of straight solutions
that I liked the attention
And not always knowing the answers
You’re gonna lose it
You’re gonna lose it

Link roundup

1. Peyton Manning explained how players beat the NFL's concussion test, but then claimed it was just a joke.

2. Gabe Delahaye on the new Transformers trailer:
“OPTIMUUUUUUUS!” Haha. That does get me every time. “OPTIMUUUUUUUS!” I think Shia LaBeouf is a perfectly decent actor, but every time he has to dramatically scream a SPACE ROBOT’s name it breaks my heart. Just kidding, no it doesn’t. But hopefully it breaks his.
3. "Most people probably don’t think of Corning as a crime fighting company, but when it sold its Pyrex brand to World Kitchen in 1998, the company accidentally made the illegal manufacture of crack cocaine more difficult—a fascinating example of unintended consequences." Via.
