A love triangle emerges between TRAX’s Jungmo, CNBlue’s Yonghwa, and SNSD’s Seohyun?

Are TRAX’s Jungmo and CNBlue’s Jung Yonghwa engaged in a head-to-head battle over the heart of SNSD’s Seohyun?

Jungmo appeared as a guest on the June 1st airing of MBC TV’s “Radio Star” and said, “Seohyun is closest to my ideal.”

With that comment, Yonghwa fired with jealousy since SNSD’s Seohyun was his wife as a fake married couple on MBC’s “We Got Married“. He showed his jealousy by recalling his memories of when Seohyun learned guitar from Jungmo, her senior in the same company, during “We Got Married”.

Jisun releases gorgeous teaser with INFINITE’s Woohyun

Singer Jisun is finally returning to the music scene after being away for two years! She recently released a few album jacket photos along with a teaser, and netizens are gushing over her ‘goddess’ look.

With her nonchalant facial expression, Jisun gives off a mysterious goddess vibe. Some are even comparing her to Venus because of her wavy, red hair and milky skin.

Jisun wrote and composed the lyrics herself for her title song ‘Blow Wind Blow‘. The song is almost like a letter, in which the person has to let go of their loved one; the addition of acoustics give a comfortable and sweet feel to it.

J.Y. Park reveals short teaser of 2PM’s new song

Earlier this week, J.Y. Park successfully completed his first fan meeting in 10 years. On May 31st, he shifted his attention to 2PM’s fans by releasing a short teaser for their new song.

J.Y. Park posted a video on his me2day saying,

“My second crazy act?!? I uploaded it at 2PM ^^ (I wonder why I posted it at 2PM?)”

In the video, J.Y. Park can be seen in the studio with Manny Marroquin as he guides his fans in the process of mixing, and also discusses Manny Marroquin’s favorite Asian artist.

We’ve translated his dialogue, so be sure to check out the video below!

“Hello, today’s crazy act is to briefly explain the mixing stage of music production.

After the instruments are recorded and all the singers finishing singing, these elements are all put into this mixing board to be combined. If we were to put it in the context of an orchestra, it would be like conducting. So if you see here, each column has one sound and we are adjusting the sound by using variants such as the EQ to make it into the sound I want.

Once we get the overall balance of all the sounds, we combine them to make a song…

There is a step after this called mastering, I will explain that next time. Now, my most beloved partner that I am mixing with, who won the Grammy for engineering last year, the world’s best engineer, Manny Marroquin! He has worked with me on miss A and 2PM’s albums and will be doing so again this time… Hope you enjoyed this video. Next time (if I get the chance) I will do a video on mastering.“

IU becomes a ping pong master for new ‘S-OIL’ CF

Earlier this month, we revealed a CF from Korean petroleum and refinery company, ‘S-OIL‘, which featured an appearance from IU.

Two weeks down the road, S-OIL released another CF with IU, and it’s actually pretty hilarious.

The CF sees IU competing against five boys in a ping pong grudge match, being outnumbered 1:5. After getting smashed in the first few rounds, IU whips out her ukelele and proceeds to smack the living daylights out of the five boys, reducing them to a broken force.

How that has anything to do with S-OIL, we really don’t know, but enjoy the CF anyway!

Lee Sora introduces hip hop on “I Am a Singer” with special guests, Soul Dive

On May 29th, fans of hip hop rejoiced over Lee Sora’s collaboration with Soul Dive on MBC’s “I Am a Singer“, as it was the first time in the show’s prestigious history that hip hop music was performed.

Immediately after the broadcast, underground trio Soul Dive ranked first on numerous search portals for their impressive performance with Lee Sora. Working alongside DJ Juice, they covered a re-arrangement of Soul Dive’s recent hit with Im Jae Bum, “The Fist Cries“.

Viewers are hailing this stage as the biggest transformation any artist on the show has undertaken, and are praising Lee Sora for daring to step out of the box.

Soul Dive commented, “It was an honor for us to even be able to perform with one of our greatest seniors. We took part in her stage with passion, and we’re sure that this will be a memory we will never forget. We’d also like to express our gratitude towards senior Im Jae Bum.”

Viewers weren’t the only ones who praised Soul Dive, as respected hip hop artists like Eluphant’s Minos tweeted, “Jealous of their collaboration! Please watch today’s ‘I Am a Singer.’ Their stage will make your soul stop in your tracks and send applause and support.”

Jerry.k of Loquence tweeted, “Soul Dive performed on ‘I Am a Singer.’ Since the show is limited to singers, I think this performance exhibits two very realistic sides of the current state of the industry, in that although rappers were able to break through to their territory, it is still only as a ‘with’ featuring, which is a limitation to our abilities.”

Ock Ju Hyun talks about her anti-fans, places first on “I Am a Singer”

On May 29th, Ock Ju Hyun performed for the first time on MBC’s “I Am a Singer” alongside JK Kim Dong Wook.

Just before the broadcast, she revealed the unfortunate obstacles she was forced to overcome because of her controversial addition the show. As reported previously, anti-fans fussed over whether this veteran idol was good enough to perform on “a show of such stature.”

Ock began, “Every time my name headlined, my mom would call me and ask me to rethink my decision. I’ve been promoting as a musical actress all along, which I thought was a different world compared to broadcast TV. I was thinking about returning to sing, and at that moment, I received a casting offer.”

She continued, “I do feel pressured by the talents of my co-stars, but that doesn’t mean it’s because I’m an idol… I want to become a good example for other idols who are racing towards their dreams.”

Speaking on the topic of antis, “I hate it when my name is on the internet. Whenever my name is used in a direction that I don’t feel comfortable with, my heart just drops. Just seeing the word ‘Ock’ makes me turn off the internet. Even though I hate reading it, however, I do come away with something.”

When asked what she will do if she was eliminated, she replied, “I think I’ll cry, but I will console myself by saying, ‘You knew it would happen.’”

Contrary to her expectations, however, Ock Ju Hyun managed to come away by placing first for her performance of “For A Thousand Days.”

Jang Woo Hyuk makes his comeback on Inkigayo

After a five year absence, ‘dance king’ Jang Woo Hyuk finally made his comeback through today’s episode of ‘Inkigayo‘.

His title track, “Time Is [L]Over” was a collaboration piece between Shinsadong Tiger (who he’s worked with since his first solo album) and producer Joker (who previously worked on B2ST’s albums).

With its strong rhythm and guitar riff, the song talks about how time seemed to stand still at the moment he broke up with his lover.

The former H.O.T. member certainly lived up to his reputation as ‘dance king’ with his flawless choreography. From the finger-choreography to the buffering dance, the moves for this song have gained much interest, particularly after it was discovered that it was created by world-renown dance team, ANIMATION CREW-ELECTRONIC NO1 | 3DCOLORS-DOOBU.

[Updated] F.T. Island returns with ‘Hello Hello’ on Inkigayo

After a long hiatus, the F.T. Island boys kicked off their comeback promotions through today’s episode of ‘Inkigayo‘.

Since it’s their first Korean work in almost a year, the boys aptly named their third mini album, “RETURN”. F.T. Island has been actively promoting in Japan, and still are, to some extent.

Their title track, “Hello Hello” is a fast-paced rock track that records at 200 BPM. With an added acoustic effect, the song is definitely a refreshing rock track that’s perfect for the summer season.

The title and lyrics are about a man who’s unwilling to bid farewell to his lost lover by greeting her with a “hello hello” instead of a “goodbye.”

On May 28th, A Pink’s main vocalist Jung Eunji guested on MBC’s “Quiz That Changes the World” and wowed viewers with a stunning cover of Maya’s “Shouting.”

Originally from Busan, panelists immediately noticed her Busan accent. Coincidentally, Simon D, the representative celebrity for the Busan dialect, was also guesting on the show.

When asked whether she had met him previously, she copied Simon D’s tone of voice by replying, “I met him on a broadcast program once, and he asked me where I was from immediately. I said somewhere from Busan and he called me cute.”

Simon D smugly stated, “I do represent the Busan dialect. Everyone copies me since they know what will make them succeed.“ Eunji quickly retorted, “I didn’t copy, I just always use Busan’s dialect.”

One of the panelists jokingly remarked, “Busan kids are always bickering with each other!”
