The Dreammaker's gonna Make you Mad...

[Edit: I'm going to have to go through every single post to replace the Imeem videos which no longer work ;S (looks to be only not working in the UK), just replaced Spaceman for now (so you can see the double headed eagle; just google the videos that don't work).]

The lyrics obviously go without saying; what are videos like this, other than symbolism from start to finish? [Brandon Flowers ([being the ritual victim here, or something like that, obviously I cannot know the exact conscious intent behind it all (it could be a symbolic representation of his internal structure)] programmed devout Mormon etc, mentioned it back when I posted the Human/Brightside videos) walking around all the symbolic imagery; double headed eagle on the gold/red shield, confusing back and front (with the thing at the very start before Flowers exits the pod, walks through the greenery, then up the structure), masks, knights, illuminated tower of babel (reminding me of the Olympic ritual 'Memory Tower') etc (all of the imagery he is pictured with is symbolic, it would be impossible to describe everything in there).

It started with a low light
Next thing I knew they ripped me from my bed
And then they took my blood type
It left a strange impression in my head
You know that I was hoping
That I could leave this starcrossed world behind
But when they cut me open
I guess I changed my mind
And you know I might
Have just flown too far from the floor this time
Cause they calling me by my name
And the zipping white light beams
Disregarding the bombs and satellites

That was the turning point
That was one lonely night

The starmaker says it ain't so bad
The dreammaker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says everybody look down!
It's all in your mind

Now I'm back at home and
I’m looking forward to this life I live
You know it's going to harm me
So hesitation to this life I give
You think you might cross over
You're caught between the devil and the deep blue sea
You better look it over
Before you make that leap

And you know I'm fine, but I hear those voices at night
Sometimes, they justify my claim
And the public don’t dwell on my transmission
Cause It wasn’t televised

But it was the turning point
O what a lonely night

The starmaker says it ain't so bad
The dreammaker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says everybody look down!
It's all in your mind

The starmaker says it ain't so bad
The dreammakers's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says everybody look down!
It's all in your mind

My global position systems are vocally addressed
They said the nile used to run from east to west
They said the nile used to run… from east to west

I'm fine,
but I hear those voices at night
Sometimes...

The starmaker says it ain't so bad
The dreammaker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says everybody look down!
It's all in your mind

The starmaker says it ain't so bad
The dreammaker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says everybody look down!
It's all in your mind

It's all in my mind
It's all in my mind
It's all in my mind
It's all in my mind
It's all in my mind
It's all in my... mind

[Edit: Heh, it was interesting hearing the above song at the start of latest Fringe. With all that episode's (The No-Brainer; I have a feeling next week's ((Transformation)) will blow our minds!) blatant MK themes as well (synching up to Fall Out Boy's Simpsons perforamnce too)... TV is much more "interesting" these days ;P]
Edit: A few more random videos with MK themes [the comments of Marionette Kerli have some amazing ones (+info as always) worth checking out too btw (and there are obviously loads of blatant ones from history ((like this blatant one from commenter)) that I will probably not get round to posting on)]; Coldplay's 'Lovers in Japan' features loads of spinning/spirals/screens within screens[infinite]circles within circles/etc... then to top it off all the paper butterflies are dropped. I get a revolutionary feeling from Coldplay [there are two revolutions going on; "theirs" and the masses' awakening, they are on the side of the former], and tbh their music isn't as awful as most make it out to be imo. Their next video has them portrayed as puppets, shattering the glass window as they exit, and Viva La Vida of course featured fractured mind symbolism (the whole screen is fractured) a blooming rose and such.

Fall Out Boy's [secret society connections; (Catholic) Knights of Columbus] 'America's Suitehearts' [MK'd Hollywood kittens (MM, Katy Perry, Britney etc etc etc)], how they're produced (MK/dissociative carousel [huge theme in MK]/"normal land"/tv pulls a girl into it [dissociation]/HOLLYWOOD/etc). "I'm in love with America's Suitehearts. I'm in love with my own sins." - as in, these girls (and guys) are the result of their covered up 'sins' (abuse). Edit: The latest Simpsons was loaded with dissociative themes this week (in the process of writing it up), and I literally cracked up when Bart said at the end 'Ladies and Gentlemen, Fall Out Boy' playing the Simpsons theme because of the synch with this post's blatant video from them.

Random one from Tinchy Stryder feat. Taio Cruz; features some pretty obvious dehumanization (the girls in riding hats and with the chained big dogs [positioned symbolically], big leopard spots and such [+ tattooed (marked property/ownership), spinning on pole, black/white theme etc]).

I've seen other similar ones with models in dog-collar + chain, such as the below Justin Timberlake (programmed Mouseketeer) video where the kitten with T.I. has a white/black striped tail (you'll see this kind of thing all the time, giving the girl a 'tail' is all part of this dehumanization [another example is in Pussycat Dolls' video (all their's are loaded with it, covered previously in the blog) in the More Womanizing post, Daily Mail just wrote it up mentioning the Katy Perry kitten reference]) and a dog-collar/chain leash (might as well skip the whole first half of the video, pops up at 2:54ish). These videos come from the past few years.

Global Warming propagandists 30 Seconds to Mars' video for 'The Kill' basically copies The Shining and features similar MK as is in that film (mirrors/twins etc), I find it interesting that the lead singer (Jared Leto, played the heroin addict in Requiem for a Dream [obviously a shitload of MK in that, went into it a bit here], American Psycho, My So Called Life, etc) will have had stadiums (sensory bombardment; music + strobe/flashing/lazer lights) filled with their brainwashed 'fans' singing the repeated line"Break Me Down..." (when this is repeated over and over in the video note all the mirror symbolism) over and over, again they are trying break you down [(it's common knowledge that, 'break you down, build you back up in their image' is the standard method of training/programming soldiers) split you apart, dissociate you from reality, make you more suggestible/easily controlled, with constant MK; I suspect could be part of it].
